What this version does not do

We would rather list the limits here than let you find them after choosing a file.

  • AES-256. Protect PDF writes AES-128 encryption, and files protected with AES-256 are refused.
  • Several files from one Split. Split makes one new PDF from the pages you choose. To get several files, run it once for each range.
  • Compression. Compress PDF is not available. Its card is marked coming soon and has no page.
  • Forms, bookmarks and signatures. Files that contain form fields, bookmarks or digital signatures are refused before anything is changed. The page on why a PDF is refused explains each reason.
  • Trusted timestamps. A trusted timestamp is issued by a timestamp authority over the network. The worker that processes your file is not allowed to make network requests, so Verso cannot ask for one.

Cards marked coming soon have no page yet — they are listed so you can see what is planned, and they deliberately do not link anywhere until the tool actually works.
